I would like to express appreciation for all involved in this development process.  My company is making efforts to ingtegrate the BIM style of design into our process.  I am directly responsible for the use of Architectural Desktop in our design and production.  At this point, I am spending a lot of time and effort to align ADT with our company standard.

Our CAD manager is implementing the NCS cad standard company wide and this is helping my efforts.  The BIM standard that your committee will create is going to build a very important bridge for all design professionals to use in getting BIM implemented in their companies.

Thank you.  I will review the standard draft and post any observations that will help this process.

The term Capital facilities is rarely used.  Can we just use, Facilities?

Need to reference the source of the statement," The cost of our current process' failure to adequately support the industry .....

Add, Definition of BIM" or " What is BIM" as the heading  on line 16.

Spell out SFCAM, as Shore Facilities Capital Asset Management

Delete "The table below" and substitute with Figure 2.3 -1.  There is no table below.  

Add "provide" after also to read," ...on a project will also provide a more transparent ....

Add "is" after doing to read as what you are doing is a Building Information Model

Suggest use Data Quantity instead of Data Richness as the heading.  Data richness can be misleading

Somehow minimum level needs to be defined with an example, otherwise it is very subjective.

It is not clear how the credit values were calculated.  Could we consider a scale of 1-100?  The minimum level is 20.1.  It is not clear what are the maximum possible points.

The varying levels of certification need to be defined somewhere.  This is the first instance when, "Minimum BIM" to Platinum is used w/o highlighting what that means.

Another phase of Change Management, needs to be included/discussed somewhere.

Need to talk about Business Case Analysis (BCA) somewhere to justify going the BIM route even if notional values are used to highlight the benfits.

Also the Chapter headings on chapter 3.2 and 3.4 are different from all others, one is bolded and the other is a different font.
