c6.2/pAR5/l28 - Format

In paragraph starting on line 28, change the Font to match that typically used in the body of the text throughout.

c6.2/pAR6/l14- Editorial

Insert blank line between paragraphs.

c6.2/pAR6/l21 - Editorial

On line 21 and 22, change:  "The below concepts were needed in order to complete this project but will not be defined in this project."

To:  "The concepts below were needed in orded to develop this standard but will not be defined in this standard."

c6.2/pAR6/l34 - Editorial

Add a blank line or 1-1/2 line spacing between paragraph and bullet items above.

c6.2/pAR6/l22 - Editorial

On line 22 and 23. change:  "... within the FM-9 project PAMPeR and BS-6 Performance Metrics."

To:  "... within the IAI, FM-9 PAMPeR project and BS-6 Performance Metrics."

c6.2/p/l16 - Editorial

On lines 16, 24, 31 and 35, suggest blank line or 1-1/2 line spacing between end of paragraph above and first bullet item.  This format is used in portions of Sections 1- 5 and facilitates easier reading.

c6.2/pAR6/l33 - Typo

Insert a space between the word "cost" and the left parenthesis.

c6.2/pAR6/l38 - Editorial

Recommend rewording:

"assessing cost, project gross floor area and other requirements, and updating the model with results."

This comes from experience with some Federal Govt. clients where project scope under approved Congressional funding includes cost and gross floor area.

c6.2/pAR8/l1 - Format

Relocate flow diagram after bullet items.  Scale down slightly, eliminate space between arrow and left side of "Building Diagrammatics" box, and align top of last box with others.

Centering the boxes and arrows along a horizontal imaginary line may be a more pleasing graphically.  Width of second and fourth blocks could be reduced slightly while still manitaining margin between text and sides of boxes.

c6.2/pAR8/l7 - Editorial

Suggest adding "total allowable scope:" following "budget;".

for the following four primary areas

c6.2/pAR8/l11 - Format

For lines11 through 14 reduce line spacing betweem secondary inset bullet items to single line spacing vs. 1-1/2 line spacing, to match spacing between lines 14 and 15.

c6.2/pAR9/l16 - Format

Full blank line here and not blank line for bullet items starting at line 40 inconsistent.  Consider 1-1/2 line spacing between paragraphs and bullet items following.

c6.2/pAR9/l17 - Format

Consider reducing indent of bullet items on lines 17 - 20 and line 40 through line 38 on following page.

c6.2/AR10p/l23 Editorial

Delete line 23.

c6.2/pAR10/l24 - Format

Revise formatting of bullet items from line 24 through 38 to match that of those above.

c6.2/pAR10/l46 - Editorial

Considering referencing Figures 0-1 through 0-7 within the body of the text.

c6.2/pAR11/l51 - Format

Provide hard line return so text does not extend below Figure 0-4.

c6.2/pAR12/l25 - Editorial

Add comma between "section" and "spaces".

Consider changing "structure ceiling void depths" to "interstitial space heights"

c6.2/pAR13/l10 - Editorial

Add paragraph introducing IDM Standard Stages immediately ahead of Figure 0-8.

On Figure 0-8, line 10 under IDM Standard Stages tabke, "Disposal" font size doesn't match that in rows above.

c6.2/pAR14/l3 - Format

In lines 3, 5, 7, 12 and 13, delete period at end of phrase for consistency with other Stage descriptions, which have not period.

c6.2/pAR15/l3 - Format

Suggest increasing column width for "Change Log" date and on line 4 for Project Stage numbers, so that the dates and the number for the last stage, "Disposal", occur on single individual lines vs. on two lines.  This occurs here and in tables on pages A/R 23 and A/R 31.

c6.2/pAR5/l4 - Format

Add a line under the check mark at right side of page for Project Stage 2.

c6.2/pAR16/l3 - Format

Recommend adding a blank line or 1-1/2 line spacing between bullet items and paragraph above, typically through page, for easier reading and consistency with this format used elsewhere in NBIMS Standard body of text.  Also format bullet items for same degree of indentation from left margin - suggest compromise between lines 3, 4, 5 and 8, 9, 10.

c6.2/pAR16/l6 - Format

Delete line 6.  Line 7 includes extra space above for separation of paragraph from bullet items under paragraph above.

Also, delete lines 11, 16 and 24 as well.

c6.2/pAR16/l25 - Format

Format line 25 to match lines 7, 12 and 16 with 1-1/2 line spacing above first line of paragraph.

c6.2/pAR17/l1 - Format

Recommend left justifying column title "Type of Information", typical for all Information Requirements tables in this Appendix/Standard.

c6.2/pAR17/l1 - Editorial

Define column titles "MAN" and "OPT", which may correctly be assumed to mean Mandatory and Optional.  Check marks for various types of information are slightly off alignment with column titles.  Align if possible for clarity.  This applies for Information Requirements tables on pages A/R 17 - A/R 22 and A/R 25 - A/R 30.

c6.2/pAR34/l1 - Format

Define column titles "MAN", "REC" and "OPT", which may correctly be assumed to mean Mandatory, Recommended and Optional.  Check marks for various types of information are slightly off alignment with column titles.  Align is possible for clarity.  This applies for Information Requirements tables on pages A/R 34 through A/R 47.

c6.2/pAR18/lbottom of table - Format

Move last activity information up so "(General attributes)" occurs on the same page.

c6.2/pAR19/l mid page - Editorial

Move "Properties specified may include:" and associated bullet items up for more uniform spacing.

Provide consistent format throughout tables with first word of main bullet items starting with lower case letter.

Suggest omiting the word "The" at the beginning of bullet items for consistency throughout tables in this appendix.

Bullet items "name description" under Activities (Constraint) and "name, description elements" under Activity Association on page A/R 21 seem like they should either be the same or worded "name or description of constraint" and "name or description of element" respectively.

Either use or omit use of periods at ends of bullet items consistently throughout tables.

c6.2/pAR20/l bottom of page - Editorial

Consider adding Functional Part Security/Access Control

c6.2/pAR21/l lower half of page - Format

Move Activity Grouping and Equipment Needs up so last portion of Information Needed for Equipment Needs, "implied by the equipment" occurs on the same page, leaving page A/R 22 dedicated to Results.

c6.2/pAR22/l2 - Editorial

Under Results, column title Results type, consider Result Type.  Consider left justifying parenthetical description so first line reads (FP/ER/ vs. (FP/       ER/.  Also, for Actor Receiving column, consider increasing width of column and left justfying entities under column so "Mechanical Services Engineer" and "Electrical Services Engineer" occur on two vs. 4 lines.

c6.2/pAR23/l3 - Format

Add a line under the check mark at right side of page for Project Stage 2.

c6.2/pAR24/l13 - Format

Delete line 13.  Line 14 has 1-1/2 line spacing above for separation from bullet items above.  Provide consistency in formatting of bullet items indent distance and space between bullet items and parent paragraph above, with respect to similar comments on page A/R 16.

c6.2/pAR24/l24-25

Was italicizing this sentence on purpose?  If so, is this more important than other statements made above?

c6.2/p25/l1 Format

Move "Project Details" up one line so that last word under last bullet item on this page does not run over to next page

c6.2/pAR27/l middle of page - Format

Increase with of "Type of Information" column.  Under Space (Representation) the parenthesis following "(Representation" will then move up to the same line.  Move "(Representation)" up closer to the word "Space".

c6.2/pAR27/l lower portion of page - Format

Move list of bullet items and line above for the Space (Relationships) Type of Information up one line, adding a line between the last bullet item and the next Type of Information: Spaces (Classification).

Omit the work "The" at beginning of first two bullet items under Space (Relationships); in third bullet item change "If" to "if".  See previous comment on consistency.

c6.2/pAR28/l middle of page - Format

Under Functional Part "Environment" set the column format to left justify, so instead of"

"Temperature              and"

it reads:

"Temperature and", with "Humidity on the line below.

c6.2/pAR28/l bottom of page - Editorial

Following "Communications" at bottom of Functional Part column, suggest adding "Security Access Control" or "Access Control"

c6.2/pAR30/l1 - Editorial

Under Results, column title Results type, consider Result Type.  Consider left justifying parenthetical description so first line reads (FP/ER/ vs. (FP/       ER/.  Also, for Actor Receiving column, consider increasing width of column and left justfying entities under column so "Mechanical Services Engineer" and "Electrical Services Engineer" occur on two vs. 4 lines.

c6.2/pAR30/l1 - Editorial

Under Actor Receiving column, "Building Design" is not consistent with actors listed in the column (i.e. Engineer, Contractor and Manager).  As building design apart from the engineers listed includes Space Planner, Architect, Interior Designer, and possibly other specialists, it seems that they should be listed as Actors and not lumped into a single function called "Building Design".  Also, why is the HVAC Contractor listed here?  If contractors are to be listed, shouldn't others be included?

c6.2/pAR31/l2 - Format

Increase width of Name column so that date under Change Log occurs on a single line.
